I am boatless Barbara once again. I owned my sailboat "Sombra de Luna" since April 2012 and for many years she was a great home also (9 years!). She is now in Point Roberts with her new owners, and maybe next year will go to Vancouver Island. The new owners are first-time boat owners, but they are young, smart, quick and motivated learners, and very excited about this new adventure. They couldn't stop smiling when I helped them take the boat to Edmonds a couple weekends ago. They took her to Point Roberts this past weekend. She is in great hands, I am sure.
As a good friend said when she sold her boat last year, she wasn't getting out of boating/sailing, just boat maintenance. That is how I feel. I am going down to Ventura CA in a couple days to go sailing on a friend's 40 catamaran. I see many new adventures in my future, on other people's boats (OPBs), or by land. And I still know lots of people with boats here in Olympia, and I hope to be sailing with some of them!! Maybe even this afternoon on a Catalina Capri 22 !!
